"Behold, I will do a new thing, saith the Lord."
Isaiah 43:19

In 1985, I was in a church service, and kept hearing the words in my head, "Behold, I will do a new thing, saith the Lord." The visiting speaker then instructed us to turn in our Bibles to Isaiah 43:19, which says, "Behold, I will do a new thing." I was very surprised, and recorded this in my prayer journal and waited.

About 10 years later, I felt I should speak with certain people about this, although I only had a vague, sketchy idea of what was going on. All I knew was that God was going to do something new and different.

In the year 2000, (5 years later) I spoke to these people again with more clarity and detail on the subject. Something "new" was definitely happening. On December 1, 2000, we started a small worship group, which meets weekly to fellowship and minister to the Lord. Since then, I have discovered many other small groups that are meeting weekly and most of them are lead or filled with people I have met over the last 20 years. I believe the Lord is making some connections.

The Lord gave me the words "Last Harvest Storehouse". It's not a traditional church. It's not a non-profit organization. We don't have a building program. We are not trying to start a church. These small groups already are the church. We do have a home missionary, and also encourage everyone to keep a personal benevolence fund. "Last Harvest Storehouse" represents a place of preserving the harvest through connecting small groups on a monthly basis for the purpose of fellowship, sharing and supporting one another spiritually and financially in a safe and loving atmosphere.

The Lord Jesus Christ prayed that we, the believers, would be one and that we would love one another. That has become my heart's cry. I have come to believe that my function in the body of Christ is to be a type of "connective tissue" so to speak, to draw people together in true unity and true love, thus fulfilling Christ's prayer, and enabling people to fulfill God's call on their lives. This two-fold purpose is the motivation of our gatherings.

Last Harvest Storehouse's monthly gatherings is the opportunity to promote the love and unity that I believe Jesus is looking for on the earth today.
